SEMANTICS




"THE MEANING OF SEMANTICS"

According to John Locke, 17th century words, are used to encode and convey thoughts or ideas. it means semantics is the meanings or relationship of meaning of sign or set of sign. so, communication will succesful if the idea associated with it in the meaning and how the people who knows and understand that expression.

    1. the purpose from Locke thought that when we are perceive an object, our mind forms an idea of that object. Our thought consists of a series of ideas. Words have meanings because they stand for ideas. If your words do not stand for ideas, then they do not really mean anything.

      That’s a very simple right?

-H i s t o r y- Content analysis is a research method that has come into wide use in health studies in recent years. Asearch of content analysis as a subject heading term in the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature produced more than 4,000 articles published between 1991 and 2002. The number of studies reporting the use of content analysis grew from only 97 in 1991 to 332 in 1997 and 601 in 2002.
